So its new year in a few hours! Maybe a little reflection and some new resolutions and goals should do in this post.

 

Ths year has been a roller-coaster ride. We never thought the mep class would be split up. In the end, we did. So, like the rest of the classes, it meant new friends to be made. And as expected, some old friendships were broken.

 

Loads of politics this year. But I rather not talk about it.

 

So the year is now coming to an end. What have I done this year?

-1st cca fair whereby we are not the ones choosing the ccas

-1st public performance with the orch-Jubilate

-Gold for NAPFA after a 2-year gold medal drought

So, if I had the power to go back in time, what would I change with my life?

Nothing. I have no regrets over all my choices, even if it means quitting jap to continue mep. I know I won't be able to cope. Why bother about the past? It's over and all we have to do is see the beauty of the present.

 

How about a better tomorrow? Time for resolutions and goals.

 

1. Top the level for physics, bio, chem, mep. Get good service and top 10%, which will allow me to get all-round excellence.

    Yea, I know its almost impossible, but why not dream big?

2. Gold for NAPFA again.

3. Gold with Honours for SYF

4. High merit for piano g8 (above 127)

5. Lose weight and grow taller by an inch.

 

I shall not post my resolutions. They are private.

 

And I'm going to be on hiatus next year. Till around the hols? I'm not sure, but next year will definitely be a hectic one.

Yay I shall post about section outing!

 

So we met at 9 at amk station. Charmaine and Alyssa were there first, but technically I was there first because I went to get breakfast. But nevermind all that. So anyway they all appeared one after another. Except Natasha cause she overslept. So we mrt-ed to dhoby ghaut and went to plaa singapura while waiting for her and Priscilla. 

 

At plaza singapura, we went to the arcade! And then we played this ball game-all 7 of us-and got into the top score!!! Haha we so rock. Then Charis, Deshalynn, Alyssa and I can't remember who else (possibly Charmaine?) went to play the mario kart game. Yep then we played till around 11.50 and then bus-ed to kallang.

 

When we alighted, we found ourselves lost! So we just walked under the sun while Charmaine and a few others complained about the sun. And then, with the help of Chu Wen, we found kallang leisure centre! Yay! Haha. Went in, stood outside the ice-skating rink and discussed about the programme until we decided to go eat lunch first. The spaghetti didn't taste good though. >< While eating, I told them who wasn't coming and then they started whining cause Sue Hern wasn't coming. So called her and somehow they managed to convince her to come. Haha Then we went back to outside the ice-skating rink and continued discussing till priscilla came with her brother. We actually went to prank call her before that cause she was taking so long, but she could recognise charis and alyssa's "heavily disguised" voice. Till then, we still could not decide whether we are going to go ice-skating, bowling or watch a movie. Me and priscilla wanted to go watch beverly hills chihuahua, charmaine, deshalynn and alyssa wanted to ice-skate, chu wen, natasha and charis were undecided. So I went to call sue hern and asked what she wanted to do. No ice-skating for her, but as to what to do, she suggested callng jessica. So I bugged Jessica, and she said to watch a movie, but she and weng jun and sue hern would only be coming around 2. wen man was uncontactable due to a flat battery. haha. In the end we all went into the ice-skating rink, except that chu wen, priscilla and me only went in to watch. Oh and before tht we went to the arcade again! It so happened to be the same arcade, so the unused tokens could be used there. They played mario again while me and priscilla went to play the drums. Oddly, it was very boring. I'm quite sure it didn't use to be all middle drum. So yea it was boring paying the drum. So we went to get her brother a donut and then chased them out of the arcade so that they would have more time to ice-skate. And it was so ex! $18.50 per person, including rentals. Charmaine paid a mere $2 and got everyone confused, but then priscilla figured the accounts out when we were watching them ice-skate. And Charmaine and Alyssa can't ice-skate!!! Ha! Alyssa fell a record of 3 time, and Charmaine looked so odd pushing that metal thing. She didn't pick up ice-skating as fast as Aly though, despite it being her second time and aly's first. Then wen man suddenly appeared haha. Then when weng jun and jessica got there she went to join them at kfc. sue hern got lost and called me. then when i was wondering why she took so long to find her way she told me that she went  to join then other yellows. haha. Then me and priscilla went to kfc too to ask the yellows what movie they wanted to watch. In the end didn't watch anything since all the movies the yellows wanted to watch were either not in cinemas yet or nc16, which they can watch but we can't. haha. So we just went window shopping and bus-ed bck to dhoby ghaut. Then I went to grandma's house from there.

 

Despite, the so-called "failure", I think I still enjoyed it thoroughly because....because we get to catch up with the sec 4s! They all changed a lot, except for sue hern. Weng Jun changed the most-she highlighted her hair and pierced her ears. Like whoa. It was totally unexpected. Wen Man painted her nails. Jessica had this cute ponytail at the side. Yep it was cute. It reminds me of little 5-year-old kiddos, as Chloe would put it. Haha.

 

Oh well. I just wished we could rewind back time so me and priscilla can just go on and watch the movie. Then at least we would have done something. aha. But it was still enjoyable! =P

Yea so my sis got her psle results on thursday! My lips are sealed though. She sealed them.

 

On friday we had check-ups. It was SERIOUSLY SCREWED. Only Priscilla and Natasha improved. The rest dropped in standard. =(

 

Then Saturday had art lesson. We did mordernist painting!!!! Haha so fun!!! And I like my painting's texture! XD But my whole family doesn't like it. =( Oh well.

 

SUNDAY!!! Yes I was late for outreach meeting for the umpteenth time!!! Then we went to the small chapel!!!! There was this PIPE ORGAN!!!! But it wasn't used. =( The acoustics were excellent though!!!! And now I can see why Jeremy kept playing with the camera when they went to orientate themselves with the equipment. It was so cool!!! Wish I had gone with them on saturday. Oh then we had bible quiz!!!! 2A won!!!!! =) We got 38/40. 2nd was 3B with 34/40. We so rock!!!!! Haha. 2A rocks your socks off!!!! =) Then for choir we practised christmas songs meant to be sung on 21st! Quite nice. Then I skipped fellowship!!! haha. I think I'll go next sunday. I went to by thee guide books at bras basar popular. THEY WERE SO EXPENSIVE!!! Like 1 guide book can cost $20.35!!! Good thing they can be used for 2 years since I bought the O level guide books. And mei mei was so kind as to let me use her vouchers. Thanks mei mei!!! =)

 

On monday, I finished 3 of my homework-maths, chem and ss. Yay me!!! =)

 

On tuesday there was string. And vefore that was drama!!!! haha so fun. We had to go and present today cause we are not going to have anothr session on friday. =( But anyway, Ying Yin did a great job for acting, and Weng Chen is SUPER DUPER GOOD at sight-reading! Haha. So I think it can be considered a success? Haha. Then during string we got the new score! So fun!

 

Today is Wednesday, but only because its in the we hours of the morning-1.26am. There's section outing later and I'm so excited cause there is 13 people going!!! Haha. Oh well. I think I sall write about what we did tonight. As for now, byes! =)

Yay I got into my first choice!!!! In case you've forgotten, these are the subjects: Eng, HCL, A Maths, E Maths, Phy, Chem, Bio, SS-GEOG!!! (YAY), MEP. 9 subjects there! It came out yesterday.

 

Now for today.

 

I was late for outreach meeting (again!). Then after that went to church. There was this new guy called David, but he didn't talk much. Super quiet.

Anyway, Jing Yun Dao Shi organised this ice-breaker game for the whole of youth hour and the game was about making a new cocktail with any or all of 7 beverages-coke, milk, chocolate (actually cocoa powder), wine, orange juice, plain water and er....I don't remember the last one. So anyway, we saboed Berme to be the I/C and then we decided on just milk and chocolate. So he and Justin went to get the mix. However, we were in for a shock when they came back. They added milk, wine, chocolate, water and coke! Gross. Then after that we had to name the concoction. Nat suggested carbonated grape milkshake (cause it looked like one) and we all agreed except for Justin who wanted the carbonated to be taken out. So Justin and Berme went up to present the 2A cocktail "grape milkshake" haha. But Justin forgot to talk about the milk we added in. Like LOL. Then how did the "milkshake" come out from?  Oh and and and Jing Yun Dao Shi wanted Berme to drink the concoction, but he flew away. Haha.

 

Today was a very interesting day and I can't be bothered to type more. So byes! =)

I am in a state of confusion.

 

1) Choosing of electives

What should I take for combined humanities? At the beginning, I wanted SS-History. However, I now think that that is kind of impossible because my history source-based skills are horrendous. And O level format is just writing source-based and short structured essays which I know I CAN'T do. And then there's Lit which I was never good at. Which means geog is left but I'm never interested in it.

 

2) Drop jap?

As much as I'd love to continue, the circumstances around me forbids me to continue. CCA is going to be 3 times a week, MEP once and Piano must be on a weekday. Which means all 5 days are gone. However, I didn't want to get in to tri sci to drop jap. I wanted to get in because I wanted to continue jap. This completely defeats the purpose. What now?

 

3) SMP

Is it really worth it? I mean, the demands are so high, and I can't afford the time to do it. If they actually accept us, Cheryl might be pulling out and the team would be reduced to just me and Gen. Do I have the ability to do 10 subjects and concentrate on this SMP thing? Beides, its SYF next year and I can't dump my section just like that. Oh well.

Then to Chelsea, the craziest Xin Min girl anyone can know. Thanks for accompanying me through my darkest nights, and you ROCK! Jiayous for violin and tri sci, mate! And thanks for everything! XD

Four more subjects back today-Mathematics, Literature, Chinese and MEP.

 

As I had expected, it was screwed. But much worse.

 

1st paper was Mathematics. It was such a disappointment.

72/100.

And brainiac Christine (Koh) got a whopping 94.

 

Next came Literature. I suppose I ought to be happy that I didn't fail since my lit marks are always...bleah.

48/75.

The first and third section pulled me down. Second was a surprise-18/25. And Ms Praba commented "good job =)" at the bottom of my first essay in the 2nd section. LOL

 

The last paper for most people was Chinese. Disappointing.

Paper 1-62.5/90.

Paper 2-73.5/110.

Oh wow. At least gong han got a 15/20 (yays!) and summary got a 16/20 (stunning!). Maybe I ought to be happy after all.

 

MY final paper-MEP

Listening test-38/45.

Practical-29/40.

That was a perfect ending to a horrible marks day. To think I had expected so much from it. Oh wow. At least the sonatina got a 31/40. But that's still NOT good enough.

 

Next year's MEP is going to be worse. 2nd instrument practical. Bleah. Gross. I hate dislike my tone colour. Its gonna be ewwww.

 

Oh well. So it means that for accumulative I'm going to get:

Today we got back 4 papers-geography, history, science and english (both papers).

I suppose it was quite horribly done, but I'm still happy for I don't know what reason. Guess I have gone MENTAL. Haha.

 

Anyway, 1st paper we got back was history.

51/80.

Imagine the horror. And I was so confident for it! Source-based did NOT pull my marks up-it pulled me down. Guess I shouldn't have been so complacent after all. The only good thing about it is that the whole cohort did poorly and the average was a mere 57% which roughly equates to around...45.5? Oh well.

 

2nd paper-Geography

I thought I screwed it. I honestly thought I screwed it. My guess at scraping an A1 was literally fading with every passing second.

A miraculous 60/80. Go figure.

 

3rd paper was given out after recess-Science.

I thought I would fail Physics. Apparently I didn't-scored rather well for it instead.

76/100.

 

Last paper of the day-English

Compre was seriously screwed-I failed it.

At least summary wasn't that barely passing mark again. Haha. =)

I <3 Paper 1 free writing.

Paper 1 situational writing was...yucky but I made it. Yays!

 

So that sums up the 1st 4 papers. Ironically, I don't think I really did that badly now. Ok there's something seriously wrong with me. The old me would never have been satisfied with this kind of results.

 

Today there was strings with Mr Chan conducting. I think everyone has gone mad after the EOYs. He suddenly wanted us to play zombies. And guess what. Only Elizabeth brought the score. Mine is somewhere lost in the sea of scores in my wardrobe. And so my whole section had 1 score, which equated to 5 stands not having a score. Luckily either Charlyn or Weng Chen had one (how weird!) and I borrowed it. Then there were 4 stands left. Good thing there were 4 original copies in the...library? I have no idea what you call that. And we are going to have a camp with MGSE in November!!! How exciting! =) And it's probably going to be overnight at MGS! Haha now this is what I call an adventure.
