And I shall congratulate Elizabeth, Jomain and Priscilla, our dear blue badge v2s, for all getting below 10 points! Yay! And especially to Elizabeth who got 10A1s in total!!! =D

 

And I shall congratulate myself and Alyssa for continuing the trend by getting A1 for Chinese! Charmaine, you beter make up for that by doing extremely well for the rest of 'O's. xD

 

First 2 weeks of school has been...good I guess. Only not doing well for violin. And I get easily angered by a certain group of people. Ah well. At least school can be fun! Even with all the tests...oh and congrats to Pei Yun for getting full marks for amath test! Haha. Its such a nice mark compared to mine....nevermind! At least I still got an A1. =D 

 

I shall do my homework tomorrow, or rather, today. Then write an email to Cheryl! Suddenly missed her presence on thursday, when everything was so sucky during cca. Ok I shall stop here. Bye!

As promised, I shall post about my reflections on 2009, and goals for the new year! =) By the way, the title is taken from the song by Kaoru Kondou. Its really addictive. Haha.

 

2009 has definitely been a year of achievements for me. Breaking my own record for broad jump by over 10cm, going for SYF, SMP and various other competitions, distinction for G8 piano after a 3 year drought of distinctions(for piano), 9As for overall...they really were huge achievements. And of course, it's all God's doing. If it wasn't for Him, I wouldn't have been able to achieve all these. =)

 

Another good thing about 2009 was that there wasn't as much political turmoil as was in 2008. Sure, there were still some, like during string camp....but I shall not dwell further. After all, what is the point of dwelling over such upsetting stuff? They are there to make me stronger, and I should just take them in my stride, right? Besides, it is through these times when I get to see who my true friends are. And I'm glad to say that my friends have stuck with me through it all. THANK YOU! =)

 

In all, 2009 has been a great year. There were many lessons learnt, and I guess I did have a wonderful time. Even though things didn't seem to be going well at all in the beginning. Then again, one cannot pass judgement too quickly, right?   

 

Now then. In about 10 hours, 2010 would have come already. So, what are my goals? Unlike last year, I only have 4 goals. Hope they aren't too unrealistic. =)

 

1. 9A1s for O levels, and all As for the other terms

2. Distinctions for G8 theory, G8 violin, and Performance Certificate for piano 

3. Gold for NAPFA

4. Lose weight 

 

Come to think of it, the first goal seems pretty...far away. But oh well. I guess its better to aim higher, rather than aim low and fare worse.

 

Today will be the last day I'm going to watch anime. After today, its adieus until the end of 'o's. Oh well, I do need to focus on school. Sure, watching anime is a form of entertainment for me, so it takes my mind off things. But I guess I can't afford to have too much entertainment next year. And besides, I didn't buy all those CDs from Japan for no reason. Those will be my form of entertainment for next year then.

 

Today will also be the last day I'm writing an entry in my diary. After 8 years, it finally reached its end. It feels kind of...sad, don't you think? 8 years is a long time...But I guess when there's an encounter, there will also be a parting, right? Oh well. Right now, I'm waiting for my mum to find the new book whch will become my next diary.

 

Next year will be an interesing year, eh? Then, as Tezuka from Prince of Tennis puts it, "ゆだんせつに行こう", or in English, let's not let our guard down/let's not get careless. At least I hope I got the Japanese part correct. Haha.  

 

And this marks the end of my post. So, its goodbye anime, and goodbye 2009. Hello, 2010!

Hey guys! So, after 3 years, we are finally going to get split up, eh? But we had fun during these 3 years, didn't we? What with the crazy school life of Nat, all the cycling incidents with Berme/Seth (stop changing your name! I can't keep up!), Tingyu's trumpet section, among all the other funny things, I guess we've grown together alot, haven't we? Thanks for all the support and prayers throughout the 3 years. They worked miracles. (: We will continue to be bonded, right? Anyway, STUDY GROUP! Hope all of you will eventually join us. Haha. =)

 

Hey friend who migrated to Aussie! How's life? I know, I haven't always been a good friend this year. Especially when I didn't turn up for your farewell. Heh. I actually planned to send you off at the airport though. Unfortunately I had a case of food poisoning on that day itself. =S Hence my absence. =( In any case, thanks for being there when I needed support, especially during string. And thanks for entertaining me on msn too! Haha. =) It has been quite a year, hasn't it? Well, now that you've left, I wish you all the best! We shall continue to keep in touch, even if there's that time difference. Not on facebook though, cause I'm not planning to create one anywhere in the near future. But definitely on msn. Maybe even snail mail! Haha. Anyway, continue to work hard in whatever, and also music! Rock on! xD

And also for helping in my studies and peer pressuring me into studying! Haha! Oh and this is an apology to Chloe for making your blood pressure go high when we were studying respiration during free period! Though I'm quite sure you can't remember that since you have short term memory and split personality. HAHA. =D Thanks guys. You've been great, and I look forward to another year with you all! Oh and before I forget, note to Chloe: I don't steal brain cells from anime characters! Ha! xD

 

CHERYL FOO AND GENEVIEVE (SMP!)

Hey SMP groupies! YAY WE MADE IT! Haha. Yes I know this came real late. But anyway, THANKS SO MUCH! Without you guys, and of course, our mentor Mr Ho, we wouldn't have been able to get a distinction! =D You all do remember how worried we were that we couldn't write a report like the other groups, just because our research was so....weird, right? But thanks for staying together and not dropping out of the programme. And so we now have more cca points! Hahaha! Of course, not forgetting our lunches where we would walk all the way to subway! And then watch anime for the rest of lunch break (or go on facebook in gen's case). Then again, both of you were on facebook the entire time! Hahaha! A wonder how Mr Ho never caught us. =D Anyway, SMP has been great, despite our constant complaints about how we were wasting precious time by joining it. Haha. It has been worth it, hasn't it? Thanks again, for making this such an interesting year! =)

 

Yep, this is for Elizabeth, Jomain, Priscilla and Wan Ting. =) Especially to Elizabeth, who had to cover for me whenever I disappeared for SMP. Thanks for never complaining about that! Oh and as a stand partner, thanks for always listening to me whine about stuff. Haha. =D For the v2 blues, really really sorry to the 3 of you for being unable to attend farewell, and for not holding the promised farewell party. =( But anyway, thanks for just being there, and not looking down on me even though I was younger. Thank you for all the support and encouragement you've given me ever since I became SL! No one else could have handled that kind of situation better. =) I realised that when I started watching Prince of Tennis. Maybe even earlier, but I shall not name names. And to Wan Ting. Thanks for always trying to help me wih my section's problems. And for always pointing out things that I can work on. Thank you! It was great to have someone there to guide me. (:

 

Hey V2s! Yep, I've left you all, but continue to work with Charmaine kay! Believe in yourselves, because you all have that potential. I can tell. Work together, and stay bonded kay! Thanks for working with me too, especially during the syf period. And for believing in me. =) That helped a lot. Thanks for staying by my side, and also at least feeling guilty when we got scolded. Haha. =D And of course, to Charis, who will be leaving us, all the best! Continue to work hard in violin and your studies, and never give up! Bring the v2 spirit over, and spread it in vj kay! And this also applies to the rest of you. If I discover that the v2 spirit has died somehow, I will surely come back and give yall a good lecture. And no, it won't be those lectures where I end up laughing. Mark my words. But anyway, do your best, and don't let the rest of the orchestra look down on yall kay! I'm still here if you need help, but hopefully, yall will learn to stand on your own in time to come. =) 

 

Hey friends! Thanks for all the fun lunches! Especially when they were spent on annoying the absolutely autistic alyssa! Haha, nah just joking. But in any case, lunches were definitely fun, and thanks for also being there for me whenever I was upset during our lunches before CCA. You guys were great. =) Our movie outing was fun somehow too! Haha. Even though we didn't do much. =S But anyway, thanks for all that yall have done for me, and jiayous for O levels kay! And I'm suddenly reminded of our failed study session. *stares at Alyssa* Haha! Next year, if we ever hold one, Alyssa you better make sure you are free, otherwise you're so doomed! Haha! xD 

 

Hey thanks for the dedication! But I'm still mad that you didn't wish me luck for my studies. Hmph. Haha nah just joking. Anyway, I shall continue to annoy you with anime even though I imposed a ban from anime on myself next year! Hah! That's to get revenge for the nudges! HAHA. Our msn convos and debates were fun, but somehow we always end up debating about the same thing, eh? Haha. Must have been pre-programmed into our brains to debate over the same topic! Anyway, thanks for listening whenever I whined about certain stuff which cannot be named here, and also for entertaining me! But really, STOP GETTING YOURSELF DEPRESSED OVER BETTER MUSICIANS! Haha. That, you have to conquer. Just be satisfied when you give your best shot kay. Cause you know you've done your best. =) Jiayous for CHEM! Haha. That you seriously need help with! I'll still be around to help you with that when you need it. =D

 

Hellos! Hope all of you have adapted to Singapore! Haha. Thanks for just being there, and for cheering me up! Even though most of you wouldn't know how much you brightened up my day. =) Thanks a lot! Especially during camp, when I felt so alone. Oh and Physics competition too! Haha. xD Anyao, your secret is safe with me! And to Xinlu, you've been a great room mate!  Thanks loads guys. I can't express how much gratitude I have for yall in words. =) To Rongyu, Yimeng, Jiangxue: thanks for being such awesome seat partners! And Yimeng, thanks for all the pens you've given to me and Chloe! Open up more to the class kay! Show them the hyper side of you! xD And to Jiangxue, STOP SLEEPING AND DROOLING IN CLASS! Haha. =) Next time, I should whack you instead of just shaking you. Hehe. Oh and not forgetting Xiaofan, whom I sat with for such a short period. Nope, I've never forgotten you, and thanks for opening up to me. =) I felt happy that you at least chose me to open up to. =) Oh and thanks for helping me with maths! Haha. Hey buddy! I know you're not upset over not getting into the semifinals of the national piano and violin competition, so I shall not attempt to cheer you up. Thanks for staying as my friend for the past 3 years even though we don't see each other often! And thanks for always listening to the songs that I want you to listen to! Haha. Thanks for listening to all my complaints about anything on msn, and thanks for letting me listen to the songs that you've mixed together! It was definitely an honour. Oh and thank you so much for inviting me to all those SOTA concerts. even when I am not always able to make it. =) Your performances were great, and definitely an inspiration to me. =) Continue to work hard in music, and jap too! Though why you don't take JLPT, I never understood. Haha. =) But thanks for being such a great friend these 3 years! Our friendship will continue for a long while, won't it? =) All the best in the new year!

 

I thought about screaming PANDORA HEARTS as a greeting, but decided that it sounded weird. And then I couldn't think of what Break's signature catchphrase was, so yep. Haha. Anyway, talking to you on msn has been great fun! Especially when we're talking about prince of tennis! Haha! Of course, not forgetting the other animes like pandora hearts and special a. =D But tenimyu has been great, hasn't it? Haha. Anyway, thanks for offering to be my accompanist for MEP! We shall work hard together, eh? Of course, we shall continue to have fun with the other songs, like the tchaikovsky, and the dvorak one that you love so much. Oh and we could try playing lacie again! Haha. Thank for being such a wonderful friend these past 3 years, and good luck to both of us for MEP! xD 

 

Haha, our friendship has lasted quite long, hasn't it? Even though we haven't seen each other ever since the last day at morris allen 4 years ago, with the hwa chong concert last year as an exception. Thanks for still spending time to talk to me on msn even though you are ALWAYS busy! Hahaha. xD Oh and for writing the letter to Mr Mark! I had a lot of fun doing that. =) Anyway, hope you haven't had a lonely Christmas far away in Beijing, and I shall wish you happy new year here too! All the best in pole vaulting and the hectic year next year, and hopefully I'll see you in 2011! Haha. We shall continue corresponding on msn until then. =) Thanks for being such a great friend, even though you DEFINITELY changed, seeing that you don't capitalise your letters at the start of each sentence on msn anymore. This is the proclamation of me being officially done with holiday homework! Haha. =) The last was yue du ji cheng, which took quite a bit of time since I didn't know what to write. But its over! The agony of doing homework in the holidays is now gone! Yay!

 

Unfortunately, I have planned to do some revision during the holidays over the next 1 or 2 weeks. Hence, its not off the books yet. Ah well, I DO need to brush up on certain subjects like Physics, SS-geog and many others, and I especially need to do better for MEP, seeing how much my standard has dropped from sec 2.

 

And that brings me to violin and piano. Next year there's going to be ABRSM g8 theory and g8 practical (violin). And judging by my standard now, I really doubt I can even pass. Which equates to me having to practice a lot a lot alot, which I sadly don't feel like doing. But in any case, just like it was with my holiday homework, it takes an enormous amount of self-discipline. But with God, all things are possible! =) That was a line that suddenly occured to me when I was thinking of what Alyssa meant by me being insane for finishing my homework.

 

We had sports day yesterday! Yellow won! Yay! However, I somehow don't feel exactly excited or extremely happy. Oh well. But in any case, its good that we won. Thereafter we went to the Toa Payoh holding school! Good thing: it is very near the MRT station and Mcdonalds is just next to it! Bad thing: the classrooms are tiny. =(

 

Oh well. I don't really have anything else to write about, so bye for now! =)

 

 

 

Yea, I know it was the holidays a long time ago, but I just didn't feel like writing anything. Ah well.

 

This year was a blast. Never realised how fun s3 life was till I started looking at the gloomy prospects of s4 life. =(

 

Loads of things happened throughout the school year. Some were sad, some were wacky, and some, just bliss. But I must thank God for pulling me through all the trials that were put in front of me throughout this school year.

 

Results were....not bad I guess. I hit my goal of 9 As, but not the one about 6 A1s. And I managed to get good acad and good serv, but not all that crazy topping of subjects in my first goal. Next year I shall not be that mad as to want to get so many prizes....haha.

 

This holidays, quite a number of homework was given to us. Let's see, there's chinese, emath, bio, chem, phy, ss and geog. I don't think there was english....but I didn't do the compre which was supposedly due on the last day of extra lessons, so there! Currently, I've finished all the math and science hw. YAY! =) But ss, geog and chinese is really a lot.....oh well.

 

Supposed to be studying (or rather, revising) amath today, but I got bored of it. Hence I'm here! Shall go watch anime after this.

 

Chinese O levels were.......ok I guess? But the last compre was quite tough and I know I didn't do as well as I thought for listening comprehension. Oh well.

 

Went back to OLN a few days ago. Got to catch up with some of the 6 faith peeps, and it was really fun exploring the school with them! Well, maybe not exploring....but you get the idea.

  

Rachel's competition is coming soon! Hope she does well.....going to watch her perform. =) Its on the 6th, but right after that will have to rush to church. Haha.

 

This sunday there's bible competition! Really really hope our class would come in first again! Haha. Our class simply rocks! xD

 

Ok I have nothing else to say. I shall go enjoy my hols now! =)
